Artist's Comments
Title: Goldfish Kanzashi
Date: May 23rd, 2009 Medium: White Polyester Fabric, Fabric Dye, White Embroidery Tread, 3 5mm Bells and Hot Glue. This was done as a commission during Anime North 2009 for a girl who liked the fish kanzashi that I had made for  . I finished it the Saturday night during the convention (this and another commission kept me up until 2am @_@) and was sold on the Sunday afternoon. The design features a blue and white fish with some foliage for decoration and 3 wisteria falls with bells. The second picture shows the piece being worn in the buyer's hair (sorry for the fuzziness). Again, sorry for the resolution on this one. The camera's lens was a bit dirty on the Sunday and the pictures didn't come out as great as I had hoped they would. Total Time: Dyeing the fabric took a bit of time but all together it was around 3 hours of dyeing, folding and gluing the piece. |
